In the pageant, the singer’s mother lost out to Dora Kostidou, who won the title of Miss Greek during that year. The former contestant would marry David Lee Thomas Bass, the father of her two children, Tommy and Athena.
Though she gave birth to Tommy on Greek soil, the family would end up moving to the United States two years after Lee’s birth and the former contestant would have Athena in the US.
Despite her marriage with David eventually ending, she spent the rest of her life in California, and finally passed away on March 9, 2012, in Calabasas.
