First transgender cyclist wins Women’s Tour of Gila

Austin Killips became the first transgender cyclist to win the Women’s Tour of Gila, a road race in New Mexico. This triumphant win for Killips has sparked debate amongst sports fans on what standards should be met in order for transgender women to compete in women’s sports.

Many Telegraph readers agreed with columnist Allison Pearson’s take on the situation, arguing that - regardless of the UCI’s competing policy for transgender women - being born biologically male has physical advantages, and therefore they should not be allowed to compete in the women's category.

Drone attack on the Kremlin

Two drones exploded near Vladimir Putin’s residence in the Kremlin late on Tuesday night. Moscow was quick to label it a "terrorist attack" and accuse Ukraine of an "assassination attempt" on the Russian president. Since then, Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian president, has denied his country was behind the drone attack.

Telegraph readers took to the comments section to debate who they think led the attack and came to the general conclusion that it was a hoax from Russia in order to justify further attacks on Ukraine as retaliation.

Sue Gray in Partygate team during secret talks with Keir Starmer

Sue Gray, a former civil servant who is set to become Keir Starmer’s chief of staff, has been accused of holding secret talks with the Labour leader whilst she was still working for the team advising the Commons Partygate investigation.

Telegraph readers shared their indignation in the comments section, claiming that Ms Gray lacks integrity. Other readers argue that stopping her from taking up a role with the Labour Party is a weak sanction, and she should face disciplinary action.

Met Gala fashion

The Met Gala, one of the biggest fashion annual events, took place on Monday with the theme honouring the late fashion designer Karl Largerfield

Telegraph readers shared their take on the annual charity gala, discussing their favourite and least liked outfits of the night.
