The Cadaver Dans

The sun sets and darkness settles on the Magic Kingdom. Spooks and spirits rise from the grave and wander through the park, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight. A hauntingly good time is guaranteed for all…

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party is back, bringing with it all the delights of the Halloween season. Last week, we discussed the lovely Carlotta and Renatta, as well as their faithful servant, Butler Broome. However, they are far from the only restless spirits who come to life at the party. As you wander among the happy haunts, you may hear weird and lovely melodies floating on the air. If you do, you’ve likely stumbled across those dapper demons of the dirge: The Cadaver Dans.

Guests of Walt Disney World have likely met their living counterparts, The Dapper Dans. They can be found on Main Street USA singing songs, telling jokes, and ringing bells. As one of the world’s most renowned barbershop groups, they represent a timeless piece of Americana. During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, these jolly fellows are transformed into the walking (and singing) dead.

Rather than Main Street USA, the Cadaver Dans make their home in Frontierland, where they sing songs such as Grim Grinning Ghosts, The Oogie Boogie Song, Trick or Treat, Cruella DeVil, and more. When they aren’t singing, these harmonizing haunts are happy to pose for photographs with Guests.

As you make your way through the party, be sure to spend a little time listening to the Cadaver Dans. It’s a performance…to die for…
