EXCLUSIVE: Interview With Singer Farrah Mechael

Posted by Patria Henriques on Friday, June 7, 2024

Farrah Mechael has recently released her brand new single ‘Be Here‘ which has been produced Peoples and Shy Boogs and is the second track to be lifted off her upcoming debut EP ‘Farrah Please’ which is due for release this summer.

Here we chat to Farrah about her new music, music experiences, dream collaborations and lots more.

Growing up who inspired you musically?

Sarah Brightman, Celine Dion, Josh Groban, and Michael Jackson all inspired me while I was growing up. Although I’ve looked up to all of these people, there has always been something especially enchanting about Lady Gaga. My interest in all of these artists has led me to become a fuse of different genres.

What is your earliest memory of music?

I remember watching “Sleeping Beauty” over and over again because I was mesmerised by Princess Aurora’s singing in the forest. This is the first thing I ever sang.

How did you decide to pursue music as a career?

Singing has been my passion my whole life. I started singing before I knew how to speak. I have never been able to imagine myself doing anything else.

You have worked with some great producers for your new record. What was it like being in the studio with such iconic people?

It was amazing; Shy Boogs and Peoples were both so welcoming and inspirational. It was a new experience, and my mother was there with me. I definitely left there in a motivated mindset.

If you could collaborate with any artist who would you choose?

Lady Gaga; she has been my inspiration my whole life. I think we would make an insanely powerful record.

What can fans expect from your new EP?

There’s definitely influence from multiple genres in my songs, but they’re all tied together by my voice. I love playing around with ad-libs and background vocals, and a majority of the time we end up putting them in the records we are making.

What is the inspiration behind the new EP?

The new EP has been a story of my life. As I lived through the events, the music was created. Everything flows really nicely, and it helps me connect with my fans because they see who I really am and can hear my true passion in my voice.

Will you be going on tour this year?

Nothing is confirmed as of now, but stay tuned to be up to date. :)

What would be your dream venue to perform at?

I would love to sell out Madison Square Garden, and I’ll never stop trying.

What do you hope to achieve over the next ten years?

I hope to be a household name.
